The 2023 Budget Is Not Realistic – Hon Babangida Ibrahim
Hon Babangida Ibrahim has heavily criticized the 2023 budget presented by president Muhammadu Buhari to the joint session of National Assembly on 7th of October as shamble and unrealistic. 
Hon Babangida is a member of the 9th House of Representatives representing the Malum/ kafur federal constituency of katsina state and also serving as the chairman of the house committee on capital market.
Hon Ibrahim while responding to questions from Becky Anyam of Prime Reporters News said the N9.7trn projected revenue, N10.7trn deficit is not realistic and bound to put Nigeria into greater Financial woes .
It will be recalled that President, Muhammadu Buhari presented the 2023 fiscal budget to the joint session of the National Assembly.

Buhari proposed an annual budget of N20.51 trillion for the year 2023, a 19.8% increase when compared to the N17.13 trillion approved for 2022 including the supplementary budget.
When asked if budget amplifies troubling fiscal outlook for Nigeria economy given the country’s dwindling revenue performance trajectory. The lawmaker said “if you look at the 2023 budget sometimes one would wonder what is the intention and what they tend to achieve.
But the most important thing is that the 2023 budget is a transitional budget and which means the APC government may retain the same agenda but if APC looses the election then the incoming government is 
unlikely to implement the budget and that is the reason why I feel they should be less ambitious and present a realistic budget.
In furtherance , when asked about the recent revelations of massive oil theft which has hitting hard on the economy for long time .
Hon Ibrahim Insist that Nigeria Government should be sincere in her doings and that we are in greater danger if the stealing have really been going on without the knowledge of any of the government agencies or security forces.
