The Forum of National Youth Leaders from all 19 registered political parties in Nigeria has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his decision to organize a 30-day national youth conference. The initiative, described as historic by the Forum, aims to tackle some of the most pressing challenges confronting young Nigerians, such as economic hardship, insecurity, and the limited inclusion of youth in governance.
In a statement, the Forum urged the federal government to ensure that the conference is inclusive of youth from all political backgrounds. They stressed that the success of the event depends on the participation of representatives beyond the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The Forum emphasized that the full political spectrum of the country must be represented for a comprehensive and effective dialogue.

Hailing the conference as a timely and crucial platform for youth engagement, the coalition noted that it offers a unique opportunity for young Nigerians to collectively address critical national issues and contribute towards shaping the nation’s future.
“We believe this conference offers an unprecedented opportunity for Nigerian youth to engage constructively in shaping the nation’s path forward. We urge President Tinubu, the Chief of Staff, and other stakeholders involved in its organization to ensure that it is inclusive of youth from all political parties,” the statement read.
The Forum also appealed to Nigerian youth to seize this opportunity for peaceful engagement and avoid any actions that could derail the progress of the conference. “Unity and peaceful dialogue will ensure that our contributions lead to meaningful change,” they stated.
The statement was signed by Hon. Chinazam Ike of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), National Youth Leader and Vice Chairman of the Forum of National Youth Leaders of Political Parties in Nigeria (FNYLPPN), and Comrade Wolimoh Olajide of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), National Youth Leader and Secretary of the Forum.
The Forum concluded by expressing gratitude to President Tinubu and his administration for acknowledging the importance of youth voices and setting a positive precedent for future youth participation in governance.
