Hon. Toby Okechukwu seeks intervention for Release of Ekweremmadu.

The minority leader of the House of Representatives on the 2nd of may moved a motion on the floor of the House calling on the federal government of Nigeria to intervene in the case of Ike Ekweremmadu.
Hon Toby okechukwu who represents
Aninri/ Agwu federal constituency in Enugu state went emotional while speaking on the floor of the house, said Ekweremmadu’s offense is bailable and call on the British government to recall the relationship that bonds the two nations.

He added that the circumstances surrounding his action to save the life of his daughter, Sonia Ekweremmadu , was beyond his control and anyone in his shoes would do the same.
Hon Toby further added that Ekweremmadu has been a patriotic leader who has diligently served Nigerian Government for the past 28 years.
Hon Toby okechukwu appealed to the public and federal government to seek and intervene in the release. He added “ To err is Human and to forgive is Divine “ .
